BAAT, BADth and BAMT are the professional associations for art, drama and music therapists in the UK. This free CPD will build your understating of what we do, how you can get involved, and build your professional leadership experience.

What is the the purpose of professional membership bodies?

Professional membership bodies have several functions, sometimes not well understood. These include supporting members, (briefings, journals and professional guidance), organising conferences, special interest and regional groups, and promoting the profession through advocacy and public affairs.

What you will learn

This CPD will explore the role and governance structure of professional bodies, the concept of clinical leadership, and how members can help set the strategic direction of their profession.

Tutors

Gary Fereday, Chief Executive, BAAT
Karen Diamond, Director of Professional Affairs, BAMT
Amy Mackay, Chair, BADth
