Marielle Weddegjerde
Supervisor & private practitioner
About Marielle
I am an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist, a BAAT/CPCAB-certified supervisor. I am also a certified Expressive Arts Therapist, with over ten years’ experience in public mental health, working with adults, children, and adolescents. Guided by psychodynamic theory, I highlight the therapeutic relationship as central to transformation and understanding. My approach is integrative and co-creative, drawing on the arts to explore sensations, feelings, and experiences. People may seek therapy for difficulties in relationships, anxiety, stress, low mood, or a sense of being stuck in life. I tailor the sessions to each person’s specific challenges and needs, taking into account the broader context of their life. Together, we create a safe, creative space that supports meaning, vitality, and change. Private practice sessions are currently offered online only. I offer a discounted rate for art therapy students.
