Marielle Weddegjerde
Supervisor & private practitioner
About Marielle
I am an HCPC-registered art psychotherapist, expressive art therapist and certified supervisor. I have over ten years of experience in mental health, including work in specialist services and charities supporting adults with complex needs, and more recently, children and adolescents in school settings. Guided by psychodynamic theory, I highlight the therapeutic relationship as central to transformation and understanding. My approach is integrative and co-creative, drawing on the arts to explore sensations, feelings, and experiences. People often seek therapy for challenges such as anxiety, stress, low mood, difficulties in relationships, or a general sense of being stuck. I tailor sessions to each person’s unique needs, considering the broader context of their life. Together, we create a creative, containing space that supports meaning, vitality, and change. I am practising in accordance with the BAAT guidelines and am insured through the Psychologists Protection Society (PPS).
