About Joanna
Over the last 9 years I have worked with children, teenagers, adults and student art therapists; as an arts therapist offering 1:1 and group sessions. More recently I have further trained in EMDR.Prior to this I worked within secure mental health services.
I have worked in a variety of sectors, including both primary and secondary schools with partnership CAMHS teams, residential children's homes and with foster families. In recent years I have focused on individual sessions with care experienced young people from 5 yrs to adulthood within a trauma and attachment focused team. Alongside my private practice, I have moved into supporting teams offering reflective practice within schools & residential homes.
My approach integrates creative processes that not only focus on the mind but promote healing and understanding of our body to process experiences and build self awareness. I aim to work in trauma informed and neuro affirming ways that are accessible for both children & adults.
