About Uzma

Uzma is a qualified Art Psychotherapist since 2020 registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Uzma has worked with Children, Young People & Families and Adults in Groups in a range of settings including in the voluntary sector, in CHYPMHS and in community spaces. Before completing her Art Psychotherapy training, Uzma worked as a qualified Youth & Community Development Worker and has an arts practice in Performance Design and Socially-Engaged Arts since 2008.

Uzma aims to create a safe space for clients to engage in the therapeutic process and for access to internal and external creative processes.

Areas of special interest are Transition and navigating change, Identity, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Artist development, Managing Emotions, Domestic Abuse and Trauma
