About Alanna
Hi, I'm Alanna. Choosing to have therapy means setting aside time and giving space for our experiences, thoughts and emotions to be felt, processed and understood. This can be healing and understanding yourself better can help with making healthier choices and moving forward with more self awareness. My approach is psychodynamic and I try to respond to what you bring with curiosity and reflection. Part of this work involves looking at how the past shapes the way we experience ourselves in the present, as well as in our relationships and our way of being in the world. I also have a range of art materials available to use during the therapy session. Whether you use art making or not is your choice. Using art materials is not only enjoyable but a great tool and outlet for expressing yourself. You needn’t have any experience with making art to be able to use the materials in a therapeutic manner and I can help support you in how to use any materials that you might like to try.
