Calling all members! Launching our 'cultivating creativity' competition!

We know that children need creativity and imagination to thrive. Being creative helps a child to find their voice, play an active role, and make their mark in their community… and on the world!  As part of the NHS England Commission project, we want to work with you to inspire children and young people to feel more able to enjoy making art.

The competition

We are asking art therapists to develop a proposal for an online, self-directed resource, which could be used to support a) children and b) young people/adults, to go on their own creative adventures and develop their own way to make art, so that these skills can be honed and enjoyed.

The winner’s proposal will be produced and shared on our website, so that we can support children and young people to develop the skills and interest that can enable them to later possibly train as an art therapist!

  • First Prize: £500
  • Runner up: £250

Deadline: 2nd September, 2024
