Artist Statement
This clay piece explores themes around control, pain, despair, and the potential for change. Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with gold, the wounded heart is healed. The pain is not erased but acknowledged.
Ultimately, the heart becomes stronger. It speaks of the beautiful possibility of hope.
