Artist statement

My work draws inspiration from the everyday and often unnoticed moments that connect us, as well as our intricate relationship with the natural world.

This piece is part of a series of prints and a poem created for my first-year art therapy exhibition, inspired by the theme of ‘Habitat’. It was born from the seaweed lacing the shores of the beach where I grew up in Falmouth, Cornwall. Seaweed, with its myriads of healing properties and essential nutrients, holds a quiet power – both for humans and the environment. Through vibrant prints and personified poetry, I sought to honour this mighty wonder.
