Feeling the chaos

Artist statement

When we see the landscape, it seems crystal clear – everything in its place. But at times, for art therapists, for our clients, that is just not so. A natural order becomes disordered, colours fragmented, and shapes unrecognisable. An abstracted fog of energy can bombard us, numbing us. Yet, if we sit with it and allow curiosity… I wonder? Maybe then, for a fraction of a moment, the fog could pass… things may become distilled again.

I felt very still and empty, the way the eye of a tornado must feel, moving dully along in the middle of the surrounding hullabaloo.
