Circles of Connection (2024), Atlantic Ocean beach stones/pebbles
Artist statement
I am a visual artist based in Donegal, Ireland, deeply inspired by the principles of deep ecology and the intrinsic connections that bind us to the natural world. My work explores these relationships through site-specific installations, photography and film, examining themes of place, being and interconnectedness to reflect the delicate balance between individuality and unity.
Circles of Connection (2024), created on Pollan Beach in County Donegal, Ireland, uses Atlantic Ocean stones arranged in intricate circular patterns that are continuously shaped by the daily tides. This piece reflects the rhythms of nature and the patterns that influence both our inner and outer worlds.
I invite viewers to consider their own place within these timeless cycles and to reflect on the unseen forces that connect us all. Through my work, I aim to evoke a sense of harmony and shared connection within the natural world.
