Justine Cal
About Justine
I have an M.A in Art Psychotherapy, and have been a fully qualified art therapist for 20 years. I am N.N.E.B, B.A.A.T and HCPP registered. I have an enhanced DBS and liability insurance.
I have experience of working with children, young people, and adults, including children in care and excluded children, clients who are neurodiverse, those who have experienced domestic and sexual violence, those who self-harm, and refugees. I have experience working in a variety of schools and within a psychiatric ward. I have run a bereavement group, worked on a photographic project with men who have been in detention and prison, and a youth refugee art project.
I like to work holistically with my clients drawing from different models of therapy. I am trained in a psychodynamic model and use a person-centered approach. My way of working is always to give the client autonomy and to promote their potential. I encourage them to unlock their creativity and for them to find their voice.
