Lisa Tye
Private Practitioner
About Lisa
I am an HCPC-registered art psychotherapist with experience working across schools, community settings, and the voluntary sector, supporting both adults and young people. Alongside my one-to-one work, I have facilitated therapeutic art groups within educational and community contexts, including work with carers and diverse local groups, which has deepened my understanding of group-based support.
My practice is integrative and grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed approach that asks not “what is wrong with you?” but “what has happened to you?”, recognising how experience shapes emotional wellbeing. I believe creative processes can help untangle difficult feelings, supporting clarity, renewed hope, and strengthened self-esteem. My role is to listen without judgement and to help people make sense of their thoughts and feelings through art-making. I aim to help each person feel truly seen and heard.
