This course will explore child development from a trauma informed, biopsychological and attachment perspective. It will examine the crucial and unique role that art therapy can play in both pinpointing and reworking poorly negotiated developmental steps.

Open to all suitably qualified and trainee professionals.

To deepen knowledge and understanding of biopsychosocial factors influencing child development. Improve ability to identify signs of developmental delay, developmental trauma and autism. This course will enable you to apply creative techniques and exercises to support developmental delay.

  • Teaching: Sequential child development trajectory pre-birth to 5
  • Experiential Exercise: Children’s drawing development
  • Interactive Exercise: Identifying active ingredients necessary for good enough child development and linking these to successful art therapy intervention.
  • Small Group Exercise: Looking at developmental assessment tools
