Supervision training

This two-day course provides the theoretical and practical guidance to support your supervisory role, whether it's a clinical or managerial role, or both.

What you will learn

We will look at aims and objectives of supervision, the role of the artwork and mutual expectations of supervisors and supervisees.

We will introduce organisational concepts to help develop an understanding of dynamics that impact directly on the clinical work and the supervision task.

Practical issues such as contract setting, implication of ‘duty of candour’ and the statutory framework will also be addressed.

By the end of the course you will have:

  • a better understanding of the aims and objectives of supervision
  • familiarity with different models of supervision
  • further clarity on the role of the artwork.

Thoroughly useful and inspiring. Lots to think about. I feel more confident in beginning my clinical supervisor journey.
